Phil's first two solo albums were very personal for him. He's said that 1993's Both Sides was his most personal but to me nothing matches the emotion of Face Value or Hello I Must Be Going. Seeing the late great Don Myrick agian is truly heartbreaking.

Why is 'creepy' used by a certain generation to encapsulate anything that they cannot parse in terms of shifting aesthetics/style and ethics/morality - especially since have of them are sporting 80s "porn 'staches" like the dudes in this ad. The only thing creepy in this video as that damn school marmy lace collar on the one dress...God, seems like every frickin' third grade teacher in Canada had one of those 'back in the day.'!

I like how they announced these tours in little boring rooms or hotel banquet rooms, when the damn tour was all over the world in front of massive crowds. You’d think this dude was some random artist playing a local winery and this was his announcement. Also, this was an insanely good tour.

Phil is the man. He was just a drummer seeing what’s out there, got into a band, had no intention of being a lead singer and had an incredible career as a drummer, band mate, band leader, solo singer/songwriter.

With the end of the Invisible Tour in '87, Phil seized the surfboard. At _Buster,_ the shark was spotted. By time time of the Serious Tour in '90, he was aloft, high above the shark. At the end of the WCD tour, he was coming down the other side and splashed down with Both Sides. With DITL and _Tarzan,_ he flew over it once more.

My dad taught me to drive in the Yorkdale parking lot - on a Sunday - because, of course, stores were CLOSED on Sundays. Pre-Sunday shopping days! 😂

I've listened to so many of his songs over the years.

His voice is smoothing.

It's not too late is the best song it's a song about revelation. I love that song.

I grew up with a single Mum. And a Step Dad.

I hear Genesis has had the same management for fifty years.

I had no idea he was in it.

Oliver was my favourite childhood film.

He sounds like a really nice man.

I also love listening to his drumming.

I love heaps of his songs I could list another 10 or so quite easily. Like I love In the Air Tonight. I am going through a divorce at the moment so I find it oddly related and play it to help ease my mind.

I really knew very little about his personal life before listening to this.

I love Disney Dumbo and The Little Mermaid I admit I haven't seen Tarzan.

I love the song Both Sides of the Story as it's so admirable that he wants to hear both sides of a story. As their are two sides of every coin.

I am a fan I grew up listening to songs like Can't hurry love and Groovy kind of love.

Who doesn't love Phil Collins but he truly touches my heart very deeply. I feel a lot of love for him. Crazy as it sounds as I've never met him. But feelings are real.
